Basically, I will be noting all the online bank fees and comparing them from paypal to paddy power to mastercard. All those little fee that count when moving money.

PAYPAL
So for paypal they say free to pay, but if you pay to your own account you you pay "Receivers Fees" which is 3.4% plus 0.35 euro. In another section they refer to a reduced sliding scale for volume. Paypal also state that it is free Free to withdraw from your PayPal balance to your bank account and Free to add money to your PayPal balance from your bank account. However 11 countries have a "Return Fee".

Example:
You have net winnings in a market of £400.
The Market Base Rate is 5%.
Your current Discount Rate is 40%.
Therefore the commission you pay is £12 (£400 x 5% x (1-40%)).
You earn 120 Betfair Points.

You made £70 worth of deposits from your Visa card (above) and £50 worth of deposits from Paypal. Your net deposit on your Visa card is £70 and on PayPal £50.

After some betting success on the site your 'Available to Withdraw' balance is £500. You wish to withdraw £150. Your preferredwithdrawing method is PayPal, but before you are able to withdraw back to PayPal over and above £50 you will need to 'close the loop' and level off the positive Net Deposit on your Visa card. You'd need to withdraw £70 back to the card which will make the Net Deposit figure £0.00. Once this is done, you can withdraw £80 or more back to PayPal.

If, using the situation in above example again, your preferred withdrawal method is back to your bank account, you'll need towithdraw £70 back to Visa card and £50 back to PayPal. After those withdrawal's have been made you'll have Net Deposits of £0.00 on both payment sources, leaving you free to withdraw by bank transfer (or any other registered payment method).

AIB charge the following amounts for transactions on current accounts.

They will also charge an admin fee of €4.50 per quarter. (€18 a year)

All the above fees can be avoided at AIB by keeping a minimum of €2500 in the account at all times . Going below €2500 at any time in a quarter will result in charges being applied for the whole quarter.

Bank of Ireland – Impossible to Avoid a €5 quarterly charge
Bank of Ireland now charge all current account holders €5 per quarter (€20 a year) . This charge cannot be avoided. On top of this – unless you keep at least €3000 in the account you will also be charged transaction fees too. (No fees on Golden Years, Graduate, 3rd Level student or 2nd Level student current accounts)
